We raise Weimaraners Only! Our Weimaraners are hand-raised inside our home -- in a
family setting. For this reason, they make better companions in the field or your home.
Cliff & Shela Nielsen are members of several hunt clubs and participate in NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Assn.) dog tests as well as VHDF (Versatile Hunting Dog Federation) dog tests.

Basic thoughts:
- A Healthy pup starts with healthy parents!
- We offer a quality written guarantee (signed and dated)
- A comprehensive Veterinarian Wellness Check happens prior to departure to their "forever home."
- We breed for All-around quality looking at the Big Picture!
- Most of our Weimaraners have PennHip Ratings or OFA ratings prior to their first mating.
- We have an annual on-site Veterinary wellness exam for our facility.
- Puppies are raised inside our home and receive daily socialization.
- Our whelping area is in our master suite. Puppies and whelping mothers receive close 24 hour monitoring.
- We temperament test each puppy individually and match them to the best possible home.

- All puppies come with a Limited AKC Registration.
- We raise Gray, Silver Gray, and Blue smooth coated Weimaraners.
- We have some Long Hairs and Long Hair Carriers but unless otherwise noted we do not have Long Hair puppies.
- We have an application process (to ensure each puppy is placed in a committed and loving home that understands the breed). The application is available ONLY directly by emailing us or is offered to those inquiries we feel are good candidates for one of our pups.

Breeder's Additional Comments: OwyheeStar reserves the right to refund deposits if they deem the arrangement to not be in the puppy's best interest. In more than a decade, we have found it necessary to return a deposit only twice; therefore you need not fear we will change our minds and not place the puppy with you on a whim. This is more of a safeguard in the event that we receive additional information or have severe reservations about the placement of a puppy. We simply cannot take chances with the placing of our puppies. We hope you can understand.
